First Bump Box Review! Oh yeah..... I'm pregnant!

So my fiancee and I recently (like a month ago) found out I am pregnant! He knows I love my monthly box subscriptions so he mentioned that he wanted to get me the Bump Box and so I researched it.....and ended up ordering it for myself!

There were a few questions to answer when signing up so that they could send me the appropriate box, but it took just a few minutes. I went ahead and splurged on a full subscription because it is my first pregnancy and I had NOTHING as we weren't really expecting to get pregnant. If you want to try just one box, you can use the code YOUROCK for a bit of a discount!

My first box showed up just under 2 weeks from my initial order date. I was so excited to see that big pink thing waiting for me at the door!
I have to say I was impressed with the packaging. Not only can I use the sturdy box that it was all shipped in for organizing baby stuff as I acquire it, but the inserts are cute too!
Let's get on to the meat and potatoes......

First impression: WOW! That is a bunch of stuff!
The blue water bottle is great. It says "Eat, Sleep, GLOW, Repeat" on the side! I can always use another one of those and I think this one will become my designated "leave at work" bottle so I always have one.
I can not tell you how much I appreciated that Quease  EASE stick! It came just in time as the morning sickness hit me just a few days later!
I thought that I liked my current deodorant, but after trying the pHresh deo, I think I will be switching! The texture of the product is smooth and creamy and it WORKS! I might not have a perfume-like smell, but I don't stink! My only complaint is that the product had shrunk in the container which made it a little hard to use.
See that little black tube? That is Ellovi Lip Butter and it tastes amazing! It made its way into my lip product rotation that I keep in my scrub pockets at work.
I have been using the Happy Momma Prenatal Probiotic in my daily yogurt! This stuff mixes in nicely and doesn't have much of a flavor. It has replaced my Advocare probiotic!
I haven't used the Bella B Foaming Face Wash yet as I am working through my other face washes, but I am excited to try it!
And the Birds & Bees Teas Caffeine Free Lighthearted Tea I have not yet tried either, however I had already kicked my coffee before I found out I was pregnant as my tummy couldn't handle it. I have since been drinking caffeine free teas and I can not wait to try this tea as well!

If you were interested in any of these products, they have them available on their website :)

Next month's box is going to be here soon and I can not wait to see it! Stay tuned....

WOD Box- May 2015

The May WOD Box is in and it was awesome!

The Good Bean roasted chickpeas snacks were actually quite tasty! They were crunchy and lightly salted and very satisfying as a far as a little snack  baggie goes.

I have been dying to try this WOD Wax the way it's supposed to be used (applied to the bar, not to the hands) but I am reluctant to do so lest my box owner get mad at me! Very intriguing though with the antibacterial aspect.

I am saving this little packet of Pure Beet Juice to use  during my first comp at the beginning of June. I love beets so this was a very cool inclusion to the box this month!
I am not a tea person but these Miracle Tree teas piqued my interest. Might try switching out my bulletproof coffee for one of these one morning.

This WOD Welder odor crusher sack actually made me laugh out loud when I saw it. Do you know how many people at my gym could benefit from this thing?? I gladly tossed this awesome smelling sack into my bag and the next time I went to the box and pulled out my socks they smelled great. Awesome product!

Awww yes, who doesn't like to have a good jump rope?  Just a glance will have you thinking this is just a basic rope from BuyJumpRopes.net, but when I pulled it out and started to measure it up I discovered that it is a cable covered in this thick plastic! The handles actually felt really good in my hands and once I cut the cable down I was easily able to adjust this to the perfect length with the little screw-like adjusters. I used it for the WOD we did that day and the rope was perfect. Definitely impressed!

That's it for the May WOD Box! Loving the Crossfit specific products that are included every month!

Bark Box- May 2015

Bentley's Bark Box was straight forward with the treats and toys this month and he absolutely loved it!
Something smelled good to him because he could not keep his little nose out of the box.

This month there was a stuffed bee toy from Silly Bum that ended up being his favorite (and didn't last that long because he "loved" it to death) , this big green Bumi tug toy from Zogoflex which ended up being his second favorite, Hare of the Dog rabbit biscuits, Green Bark gummies for skin and and coat, and another of his favorite Etta Says rabbit chews!  He was a happy boy when he discovered all his goodies.

He momentarily considered the tug toy before going back to the toy bee.....still can't find where those wings went....

WOD Box- April 2015

April's WOD box was awesome!!!

I really liked that they backed off all the supplements they were sending to just these yummy chews and instead included more food items and a cool shirt!

Sweet potato chips..... they were delicious!!

I have yet to try this can of FITAID but it looks intriguing. I am a Kill Cliff fan and I stuck this can in with the ones I have an just haven't grabbed it yet.

This protein pancake mix was really good. It cooked a little more quickly than I expected but tasted just like pancakes and didn't have that funky protein texture or taste. This might need to be ordered again in the future!

These EVO berry energy chews were pretty good. Tasted like you would expect and gave a nice boost of energy in the afternoon without any weird side effects like the shakes or rapid heartbeat.

This was in there with a little pack of BIO Freeze on the back. That stuff is always nice to have around!
And the awesome EVOLVE shirt! These shirts they send are seriously soft and comfortable and I am so glad I got one that fits me! Can't wait for the ones they will come up with in the future!

Awesome box this month!

Ipsy Glam Bag- April 2015

The "Beautiful Bohemian" theme for Ipsy's April box was perfect for the Spring-to-Summer transition. The products selected were fantastic and were perfect for the chosen theme.

This charcoal colored waterproof eyeliner from Mally was a perfect addition to my daytime make up routine. The liner went on easily and with out catching or feathering and the lightly shimmering charcoal color was great for day time make up. The fact that it was waterproof was great as well. I noticed I could put on my make up at 6:30 am and it still looked fantastic after a full day of clinic as well as either 2 hours of volleyball or a few hours of gym time.

Olive Lips oats and honey moisturizing lip balm has earned itself a place right next to my bed on my nightstand. I put it on every single night. The formula for this is fantastic as it is light, has minimal flavor, and doesn't run all over your face. I fall asleep with this on and I don't wake up with dry lips in the morning.

Julie nail color in Damsel was a nice creamy pink nail color. It applied well and actually lasted on my toes for almost 2 weeks before I noticed any major chipping. The color was great for the season and I got many compliments.

Nude Dude eyeshadow in 'fit' from theBalm is a shimmery warm gold/taupe color that is great for using as your mid color or blending color. The color is so versatile that it really can go with anything and the shimmery aspect is great for adding a little interest to the eyes with out looking like you are ready for Vegas. Blends on nicely with a brush over an eyeshadow base.

Sophisticated & Sensual parfum roller (no brand on bottle) is such a light and lovely scent that I have been reaching for it every time I get dressed up. It's lightly floral and lightly sweet and basically goes with anything. The scent isn't very strong which is wonderful because it is not over powering. Instead is like a background scent that comes out when you fluff your hair or walk by someone.  I will need to research to find out the brand as it was not on my bottle.

There is April's Ipsy Glam Bag! Fantastically curated this month and the products were awesome.

Bark Box- April 2015

April's Bark Box had this adorable fitness them and the boxing gloves were Bentley's favorite toy. He ripped them both off the rope and would carry them around, chewing them and getting them spitty, and then putting them in your lap like a gift. Isn't he sweet?

He hasn't showed much interest in the buff red guy toy...yet. But it makes this weird sound when you squeeze it so its only a matter of time. Both Bentley and Tucker love the freeze dried lamb treats! And he is always happy when he gets an Etta Says chew in his box since that is his favorite treat when I have to put him in his kennel.

Another great box from Bark Box!!

Glossybox- April 2015

Can we just talk about how adorable April's Glossybox is?? This is one of the limited edition boxes and I am really loving the design. I will have to find a place to show this one off!

On the left you can see the info card and on the right there was a cosmetic bag designed by Thu|Fri included this month.  And, le products.....

Julep Gel Eye Glider in smoky taupe shimmer has been a staple in my eye make up since I opened the box. It is a fantastic day time color that could easily translate to evening make up because it is such a great neutral. The texture of this liner is out of control smooth! It goes on so slick and with minimal effort. I could see this one being great for blending out in a smokey eye too. Love it and miiiiiiight need to get back onto Julep if only to pick up a few more of these liners.

Marrakesh Endz Argan & Hemp Oil Therapy Split end Mender & Preventer
I love this product on fragrance alone. Seriously, it is this delicious, sweet, sexy smell that wafts around me once this has been applied to the ends of my hair. I applied this to dry hair and just on the bottom third of my hair. I think I used way too much though and it did make my hair greasy but I was wearing my hair up that day anyway so it was a nice treatment until I washed it later that night. I think I needed a tiny pea sized amount and I used a lima bean. I have yet to try this on my wet hair before I blow dry, but again, I will only be using the tiniest amount. This stuff is potent! Hopefully it will help with split ends the longer I use it, but only time will tell!

Estee Lauder Enligten dark spot correcting night serum
I have added this to my nightly routine and it has only been a few days. I will say that the texture is light and a little goes a long way and it is easily applied with my nightly moisturizer. Again, only time will tell with this one!

AERIN Waterlily Sun perfume
I think as I get older I am getting a new nose. I am not usually one that loves floral scents but recently 2 came into my life: Witch Baby's Moon body butter which is jasmine and crocus and this perfume! I seriously could not stop smelling myself today. It is like the perfect spring fragrance. Light, just like a flower but with a touch of warmth to the scent so it's not overwhelming. This will be added to my perfume collection when this tester runs out. It is just that amazing and fresh!

OCC Lip Tar Stained Gloss
This is reeeeeeeeeed in the tube but if you apply a pin-head sized dot to each lip and blend, it ends up being this nice red flush. I think playing around with this gloss is going to be fun! Not only is it flattering by itself, but using a shimmer on the inner lips or maybe a darker gloss on the other corners.....I see potential!

Super pleased with this month's Glossybox and glad they hooked it up with awesome products this month!
Now the hard part, waiting for next months box.

Ipsy Glam Bag- March 2015

I really loved this month's Ipsy Glam Bag but I have been crazy busy and am a bit late with the review. I have used a few of these products every day since I got them and I am excited to share my reviews of them.

Super cute cosmetic bag this month. Love the blue, yellow, and white motif- so Springy!  I also received a large sample of La Fresh eco beauty good day. day moisturizer as I had cashed in my points I have earned doing the reviews on the website.

This moisturizer was very light and has a fresh, clean scent. It did not leave me greasy but I did use just the smallest pea size over my face and neck. Very pleased with the hydrating results!

This pur-lisse pur-delicate cleanser and make up remover is very creamy and does a decent job of removing most of your make up in the shower. I feel like it left a heavy film on my face so I ended up following up with my normal facial cleanser to get it off. Not a bad product, I just think I prefer to feel "squeaky clean" (but not dry") after washing my face. I will be holding on to this and putting it in my overnight product bag! It might be good to have around with the 4-in-1 action and cause me to carry less products.

Dr. Brant anti-aging mattifying lotion was interesting. I found that after I applied this I had to wait to apply my make up for the "lotion feeling" to leave my face. I may have to try this on a no-makeup-day to see how the mattifying does on its own and not under a BB cream.
Over all first impression: not too bad! Considering it is not a primer, I actually liked my complexion come the end of the day!

So this NYX butter lipstick (can't remember the color name and sadly I misplaced it after I used it a few times) looks really vampy in the tube but when applied it is more sheer and bright! That was a nice surprise. The texture of this was more like a solid gloss and it felt kind of slick and dewy. I just wore this alone, with no liner, and I did not experience any bleeding outside my lip line. I would love to try more colors from this line, especially more of the neutrals.

I did this little lip blot after lunch and it really demonstrates how  sheer the color of this lipstick really is....and how bright pink it is!

This little tube of Boo-Boo Cover-Up didn't appeal to me at first, but then I tried it under my eyes and I was shocked! A little bit of this goes a long way and gives great coverage! I used my beauty blender to blend it into my inner, under and outer eye area and blended it downwards on to my upper cheek almost like a highlight, This color was perfect for me as it was just light enough to compliment the dark circles under my eyes.  I also used this to cover a little spot on my skin and it was seamless. Love this way this blends, love the way it feels, love the way it didn't crease up, and loved the color selection. I have used this for the entire month and haven't even made a dent in the tube so I know it is going to last forever!

And lastly the Vintage highlighter from Jessica Libeskind is another product that I have used daily since receiving this month. This highlighter is the perfect pinky color on my dark skin so the highlight isn't so stark. It has a nice consistency and you can really blend this out. This ends up looking so natural and I have kind of shocked myself  with how much I like the way this looks when I have seen my make up in other lighting than my bathroom.

Ipsy curated a great collection this month! I can't wait to see what April's bag has. If you haven't signed up for your monthly bag yet, what are you waiting for? Look at everything I got for just $10! Click HERE to sign up so you don't miss out!

WOD Box- March 2015

March's TheWODBox.com was awesome this month!

This GoStak portable stackable containers thing is great! I can separate my supplements, some protein powder, some trail mix and still have a little compartment left to tuck my jewelry in! This is great because I can toss it in my gym bag or into my clinic or school bag too. Fantastic item to include this month!

I am saving this Athletic Body Wipe from Shower Pill for one of those days where we have a really nasty workout and then decide to go out for lunch after (annnnd it happens just about every Saturday).
I am really stoked about the germ killing aspect as well as the aloe vera and vitamin E.

I will be honest, this FlyJoy coconut almond bar is still hanging out in the box with my other protein bars. I just keep forgetting to toss it into my lunch bag so I can try it!

Yessssssss. Talk nut butter to me baby. Barney Butter almond butter in a little portable pack? All I needed was an apple and there was my morning snack. Yum!

I have also yet to try this About Time fruit, nut, and protein bar. It is actually sitting right next to that FlyJoy......

Discount codes for Rig Wreckers!!! I did not take advantage of this as I am still playing with my "natural grips" but I will be hanging on to this in case I decide to make an order in the future or to pass on to someone in my box who could use them.

Super happy with March's WOD Box and I am glad there weren't any supplements! Send me food and gear all day but no sups!
