Glossybox- June 2013

There was a lot of hype for June's Glossybox featuring Dallas Shaw as an American beauty.... I have one question: Who is Dallas Shaw? Lol

Here she is on the cover of their Glossy Mag. After browsing this little gem (which takes all of 30 seconds) I learned that she is an "It Girl" illustrator.

She drew this adorable girl on the top of the Glossbox and insert this month. I love it :)  I will have to think of something to store in this box so I can keep it out on my dresser.

Now it is time for all the goodies......yey!

tarte Complexion Enhancing Lipstick- I was not too jazzed about getting a lipstick (I am more of a gloss girl) but I grabbed the liner from this month's Ipsy Glam Bag and used it with this lipstick and I was actually impressed! The ladies at work said it was a nice light color that as not overpowering and I really liked how there is red in the middle surrounded by the nude so it makes a nice shadowing on your lips when you apply it. It has a nice creamy feel to it and from what I can tell it lasted for a relatively long time before it wore off.

This picture does not do the finish justice, but you can see how it is a more natural color that just enhances what is already there. This lipstick might have changed my opinion of lipsticks.....

Sparitual Nail Polish- I have received a mini red polish and a mini green polish in my Yuzen boxes of Sparitual polish and I really liked both the colors and the polish...but pumpkin orange? I'm sorry "clay creme"? I am not too sure about this color. When I don't have a fresh mani and pedi, I will give this color a try. Worst that can happen is that I hate it and I have another candidate to mix eyeshadow into!

c. Booth Honey Almond Nourishing Dry Oil Mist- I am head-over-heels in love with this spray! It smells delicious, is light and moisturizing without being greasy and it just felt fantastic all day! It is also reasonably priced, and now that I am going to school that is kind of important :P

Philip B. Styling Gel- I am never really sure how to use gel in my long hair. I put about a quarter size of this in my palms and ran it through my hair along with some other products and blew it all out straight. I can't say that I noticed any of the "revitalizing, cooling, or refreshing" sensations it claims to give. I think I am going to try it next time when I let my hair do its curly natural thing and see if I notice any difference. I did smell pretty good and it did not feel sticky, so those are 2 pretty good indicators for me that it is a decent product line!

Oscar de la Renta Essential Luxuries- This little navy blue satchel has 6 samples of scents that have been inspired by things that Oscar loves. I tried the Oriental Lace and loved it, the pump on my Santo is not working so I may have to dismantle it to sample it, but over all they are all very feminine and sexy scents.

I don't think I have ever tried anything in a box with in 2 days of receiving it before! I think Dallas Shaw curated a fantastic box and I loved the majority of the products in it. I would love it if they let her do it again!
