Casetagram Review

I just couldn't resist the urge to share the Casetagram app and just how much I love it :)

Back in January 2013 I received a card in my PopSugar Box with an incentive to try the Casetagram app.
I created this phone case in about 5 minutes with pictures that were already loaded on my phone and some pictures of Bentley that were on my Instagram.
About 2 weeks later it arrived in the mail and it was perfect! Aside from some sizing issues on my behalf and rushing through putting it together, everything turned out great. I have had it for almost 6 months. The colors are still vibrant and nothing has chipped off. It has also saved my phone from several unfortunate gravity checks :)

Now that I have my acceptance to radiology tech school, I wanted a phone case to match! I took about 2 days and several hours to perfect this case using pictures from artists Nick Veasy and Bert Myers and of course a cameo of my Bentley in the middle :) This time instead of the smokey grey base I chose the frost white one and I am anxious to see what it looks like! I will post a picture when it arrives.

UPDATE: Here it is! It looks so sharp and clear in person, the photo just doesn't do it justice. Fits like a glove too!

The cases themselves are a little on the pricey side, so I suggest getting the app, putting together your case and saving it to your gallery until they send out discount codes. For Memorial Day they sent out a 20% off code that made the bill more manageable (which is why I bought the new case).  They don't just have cases for Apple products! They also have them for Galaxy phones. I am hoping one day they will have them for Kindles as well!

PopSugar Must Have Box- May 2013

May's PopSugar Must Have Box had a fun and summery feel to it which are perfect for the coming months.
I love when the boxes include codes or gift cards for a certain amount of something so you can try it and I hope to see more of those in the future!

PopSugar Tote- A smaller shopping tote was included this month. This would be good for taking stuff to the beach or picking up a few things at the store with out getting one of their plastic bags.

Kooringal Giselle Mid Brim Hat- This arrived and was all folded and tucked in the box....but it opened and took form when I took it out! I was shocked! This is like the ultimate beach hat! The brim is a pretty decent size and there is a tie on the inside to tighten it a bit more.

Way Better Snacks Sweet Chili Tortilla Chips- These were so tasty! A little salty, a little sweet, a little spicy and crunchy....yum! The texture was great and in the chips you could see the grains that they are made out of. I will definitely be looking for these in the store to share with my family :)

Pacifica Natural Color Quench Lip Tint in Sugared Fig- I was very excited to open this and put it on and it did not disappoint! The color is a deep shimmery fig color, but it was just a sheer wash of color when I put it on. It made my lips so soft and hydrated! And the color was very flattering.

Beauty Blender and BlenderCleanser- I have wanted one of these for quite awhile and I knew if I was patient it would come in one of my boxes :) After the box went out, PopSugar followed up with this how-to video in an email on how to use the adorable little sponge.

Charm & Chain card for $30 off- WOW! This site is amazing....ly expensive! It has some really awesome pieces and I was able to pick up this adorable tiny skull necklace with the gift card for a great price. This site is great for those who like quality statement jewelry pieces and I can not wait for my piece to come in!
Update: The necklace came in and it is gorgeous! Super fast shipping, packed very nicely, and the skull was dainty and perfect. Because it is only gold plated, I broke out like a champ all over my neck, but I guess I know better than to sleep in jewelry lol.

Questions I Ask When I Want To Talk About Myself by Mindy Kaling- I can not wait to break this out for girls game night! It is going to be awesome!
To be clear, this is not exactly a game, but it is a bunch of cards with quotes or snippets on the front and a description of what it means to Mindy on the back......I am still envisioning a drinking game out of this.

The Modern Margarita- Oh I was seeeeeeriously happy to see this! I am very excited to try each and every one of these margarita cocktail flavors this summer!

Yet another awesome box from PopSugar this month! I feel like this box matched up fantastically with their Must Have Summer Fun Box which was amazing. Looking forward to June!

Fancy Box- May 2013

If you have been debating on getting the Fancy Box....don't wait any longer! This month's box was awesome (yet again)!

The only complaint that I had this month was that nothing was packed nicely and there was no tissue paper to keep things from knocking around :( Also, the cards had all fallen out of the envelope and I had to dig them out from under the flaps on the bottom of the box.

First up is the skeleton mechanical watch by TKO. I loooooooove this mint green and gold watch! Instead of numbers on the face, there are little rhinestones. That might be my favorite part. I wore this the next day to work and was getting compliments all day.
This watch retails for $125 on the TKO Website and comes in many lovely colors!

These Mr. & Mrs. Who Playing Cards are going to be an awesome surprise at the next game night! The face cards are all celebrities in a minimalist pop art style and are very recognizable!
This set of cards goes for $25 here.

I love any wine product, and this decanting pourer from Menu is an awesome addition to my wine bar! I can now wait to try this thing!
Pourer goes for $13 here.

Last up we have this stainless steel water bottle by Mizu that has a Fancy logo on it. The outside kind of feels rubbery for a good grip I am very excited to try this out! I love water bottles and this fit right into my collection.
Bottle goes for $18 here.

So again I say to you, get your Fancy Box! The cost of this box is $35, but there was $183 worth of product inside and they were things that my friends are totally jealous of and that I have not seen in stores! One of my absolute favorite boxes :)

Ipsy Glam Bag- May 2013

May's Ipsy Glam Bag is here! Sadly it was not in the awesome pink bubble envelope it came in last month with "Ipsy" on the outside. I loved that color!

Check out the awesome cosmetic bag this month! I love the teal, green, and orange combo this month.  There is another card from NUME in this month's box to get some money off of their hair supplies, but I do not have the need for anything so I tossed it.

Yaby...something in Vanilla- I actually have no idea what this is and there was nothing on any of the cards to tell me. Perhaps a primer for your eyes? Well that's kind of what I used it as. It is extremely light on me because of my tan, so I dabbed it under my eyebrows and in the corners of my eyes for some added "highlight under my eyeshadow......I later went online to the Ipsy website and found out that this is a concealer. Whoops! It will be used as a primer in my house lol.

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow in Stargazer- GASP! This stuff is fantastic! It a kind of green/yellow/gold color and is a gorgeous color on. I applied it over some taupe and brown shadow in the inner corners of my eyes and I got a ton of compliments! It is a bit more than shimmer but less chunky than glitter. Like the perfect adult sparkle! I can not wait to try applying it wet so it stands out more!

Pacifica Island Vanilla Perfume Roll-On- This stuff smells just like you would imagine island vanilla would smell like! It reminds me of Tahitian vanilla and just by putting it on my pulse points it smelled wonderful all day.

Zoya Nail Polish in "Piaf"- I love Zoya polish but this light yellow color just did not do it for me. The texture of the polish and the dry time were great!

Maybe it is just my complexion, but this color just kinda washed out my hands and was not very attractive. Several people commented about the color "just not doing anything for me" or "would have been better if it were either darker or lighter". I am going to mix in some glittery make up stuff that I do not use and see what happens!

NUME Finishing Serum- This serum is much lighter than the Argan Oil that was sent in a previous bag. It did make my hair shiny, but I felt that it looked oily for awhile before it soaked in or dispersed... not quite sure which is more accurate. It did make the ends of my hair very soft which was nice, and it has a very pleasant scent.

Another fantastic selection of products from Ipsy this month! And I am overjoyed with the Urban Decay eyeshadow this month!!!!!

Bark Box- May 2013

It feels like I just got April's Bark Box and now May's is already here! I could not keep Bentley's nose away from the box long enough to get some good pictures, so I figured I would just give him a little photo shoot.

Included this month:
  • Bocce's Bakery Green Juice Treats- I loved that these treats are made with kale! I have been obsessed with kale lately and have been sharing it with my boy :) He could not get enough of these.
  • Grill-icious Treats by Loving Pets Products- He was not as crazy about these little treats that look like burgers, but he ate them eventually.
  • Barkworthies Bone- I can not wait to take the plastic off this and see Bentley tear into this bone! He loved the stuffed bone from last month.
  • Planet Dog Produce Toy (Eggplant)- At first he did not know what to make of this new toy, but the next day he was kicking it around and carrying it all over the place.
Here are some photos of him trying his first Green Juice Treat.....
Isn't here adorable???  And now for some with his eggplant toy....
He did not have a good first impression of that eggplant toy!! And when he did start to play with it, he was moving around too much for me to get a clear picture.

I can not wait for June's Bark Box! It is getting close to the time I will need to renew my subscription, and I am definitely going to go for the full year!

Goodies Box- April 2013

April's Goodies box came in and had some tasty treats!

Celsius Drink- This drink claims it will give you energy and burn calories. It is not carbonated but it does have a nice fruity flavor. I did not notice an increase in energy after drinking it. I think I will have to stick with coffee :)

Angie's Classic Sweet & Salty Popcorn- This was delicious! The popcorn was nice and crisp, the flavor was fantastic, and it really satisfied my sweet and salty craving.

Green Giant MuliGrain Sweet Potato Chips- Who knew that Green Giant was making things that don't come in a can??!! I have not tried these yet but will update when I do :)

Truebar in Coconut Cashew- I also have not tried this yet but will update when I do!

Zone Perfect bar in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough- This was delicious! Unfortunately I put it in the pocket of my scrubs and it melted so I had to lick it off the wrapper...but it was worth it! I checked out the ingredients after and there is a lot of sugar in it :( I do not think I will be adding this to my weight loss routine but it was quite tasty!

Olomomo Cinnamon Cayenne Almonds- I was not quite expecting for these to be spicy so I was surprised to pop one in my mouth and inhale the cayenne! It took awhile to eat this half-ounce pack of nuts over my lunch break because they were so spicy. They did have a great texture and the flavor was not too bad....just too spicy for my preference.

And there is April's box....on to May's!

Yuzen Summer Box 2013

It is that time again for the seasonal Yuzen Box! I love how packed the Summer box was goodies :)

The blue and brown color scheme of this box is so pretty!

I am still at a loss of what to do with these gorgeous strips of yuzen paper....suggestions are welcome!

Always so lovingly packaged :)These gauze-like bags are great to reuse for crafts or beauty products!

Sparitual Nail Polish and Multitasker Base and Top Coat- These mini's were in an earlier box in a fun shade of red, but this set with the bright green of Emerald City was perfect for the season! These polishes are vegan and 3-free. They have a great consistency, dry quickly, and are surprisingly durable!

Such a fun and bright color! It does end up being more of a green than it looks in the picture and with 2 coats it is not completely opaque but with short nails you can not really notice that it is semi see-through unless you are really on top of them. I bet this is going to look fantastic on my toes too!

JJ's Sweets Sea Salt Cocomels- These are caramels made from coconut milk.....and they are delicious! All natural, dairy/gluten/GMO free, and vegan....but all I cared about was how yummy they tasted. They are like a coconutty, sweet and salty party in your mouth!

Acure Oils, Marula and Argan Oil- I have never heard of Marula oil but the card included with these states that it is rich in antioxidants, proteins, and omega fatty acids. It can be used on dry skin, helps with skin redness and reducing the appearance of scars and fine lines....which is also what I have read about Argan oil. There is also a little pot of that in the bag too! I dabbed the Marula oil on some of my scars, and it kind of stinks! I will give it a shot though and see if it works.

PHYT'S Lait Hydro Nettoyant- That is French for Water Soluble Cleansing Milk! Or so they say. This feels amazing on my face and cleaned off all the make up. It left my skin feeling fresh and hydrated which was great. I have literally used it ever day since I opened the box and my face just feels clean and fresh and has not been as dry. I may have to order some of this!

Pritte Moisturizing Body Lotion- Mmmm this stuff smells fresh and lemony and makes my skin feel so soft! It has a nice, non-oily finish and leaves your skin feeling dewy. It is made with aloe vera, honey, grape seed oil, vitamin E....and lemongrass and orange peel! Must be why it smells so amazing :)

Suki Luscious Lips Berry Cream Trio- What a cute little idea! These creams can be used for both lips and cheeks and are in 2 very flattering colors and have a smooth lip butter. The colors are like a lip and cheek stain and are not sticky at all when applied to the cheeks. The lip butter made my lips feel smooth and hydrated. Such a cute idea putting it in a little compact! The company's products are 100% synthetic and cruelty free and they use environmentally responsible processing and packaging.

LEVEL Naturals Shower Bombs- These little guys are aromatherapy bombs that when dropped in the shower will release a menthol and eucalyptus blend that will clear your sinuses and help you relax. They smell fantastic in the plastic so I can not wait to try them out! They are all natural, vegan and cruelty and gluten free. Also included was a card for a free travel candle with purchase...may have to check that out!

Action Wipes- This is a body wipe made with essential oils like tea tree and eucalyptus. It is all natural and made of plant based ingredients. Kind of a neat concept! I could see myself tossing one of these in my purse and using it to freshen up after work and before going out with the girls.

JUIL Footwear- These sandals are made with copper conductors that are supposed to act like a conduit between your feet and the ground. They go for $125 for a pair and this card has a code for $40 off.

Another awesome seasonal box from Yuzen! I have to complain, yet again, that this does not come out monthly any more. I love the products that are included and the sizes of all the samples! Not to mention the pamphlet has discount codes if you want to order any of the products :)
