So I received this Goody QuikStyle Paddle Brush in my Holiday Vox box from Influenster and I was thrilled. I saw this brush at Target and did not want to spend $12 on it and find out that I did not like it. The microfiber nubs in the brush also scared me a little. I thought they might get tangled in my hair for some reason. These little microfiber additions as well as the vents that are on the back of the brush are supposed to help your hair dry 30% faster than normal.
Timidly, I cleaned my hair and then prepared to blow dry. I section off my hair so it doesn't get tangled and the brush slid seamlessly through my hair. The brush gave my ends a nice little flip. As I blew dry the rest of my hair, I noticed how much volume my hair had. When I was done, my hair was bouncy and full. I only ran my flat iron over the top layer to smooth it out a little more.
The brush itself is very light, lighter than any other paddle brush I have ever owned. You can feel the air coming out of the vent on the back of the brush and the little microfiber nubs are more breathable than I had thought. They do get squished down into the brush the more you use it, but I don't think that it makes much difference in performance.
I am still not so sure how I am supposed to clean the brush when it gets dirty, but I am hoping I get a revelation. Over all, so far, I am really enjoying this brush. I do feel like my hair dries faster, but I also feel like my hair has more body and volume than when I use my other brush. I think this is a great investment! And I happened to notice they were on sale at Target the other day :)
