I qualified for Influenster's additional Kiss products to test and they sent me 2 items to try.
First up we have these Nail Dress nail strips in these adorable little flower prints. This box has 28 strips for both fingers and toes! The set runs for $6.99.
It comes with a small, double sided nail file and all the polish strips in a little clear sleeve. I took them out and since the plastic the strips are stuck to are clear, I tried to match which strip was the right size for my nails before I pulled them off to apply. I was able to cover all my fingers but only 6 of my toes.
Starting with the fingers, these strips are thick and this pattern happens to be textured. While that made it easier to line up the strips and guide them on, it was hard to file off the strip at the free edge and make it smooth. While applying strips to my toes, I found that the smaller you go, the more difficult it becomes. I tried the smallest strips on my last 2 toes, and there was no way they were staying. I pressed and held the strip on hoping that it would adhere to the nail and stay put, but as soon as I brought the file near my toe the strip would fall off.
This picture of my nail shows what happened to all those cute, textured nubs on the strips. This is about 20 minutes after I applied them and they caught on EVERYTHING. I left these on over night and every one of my fingers had lifting strips and textured nubs hanging off the ends. I have a feeling that if these were not textured, they would have done much better. I received a set of leopard print nail strips in my Holiday Vox Box 2012, here is that review. Those worked out MUCH better and stayed on for well over a week.
I was very disappointed with the eyelashes that were sent to me in my first Vox Box. Seeing these more delicate premium eyelashes with the string applicators, I felt more confident that they would work. I went to open the box....and no lash glue :( Well that is unfortunate because I threw out everything from the last lashes. I am just not willing to go buy lash glue for these when I will wear them only once (I am not really into fake lashes). These go for about $3.
Unfortunately, I can't give either of these a big thumbs up. The Nail Dress with the texture did not stay on and snagged on everything and then premium eyelashes don't come with a tube of eyelash glue...Kiss, Get It Together!
