butter London swatches

UPDATE: I deleted all the old content because I wanted to do an update with swatches of all my butter London polishes because I love them so much :) I have NEVER purchased any brand in the mass quantities like I do butter. I love the color selection, quality of the polish and the pigments, and that they are 3 free. The cute, square bottle doesn't hurt either.
When I first discovered butter polishes, I bough all this: Stiletto Stick for my feet, Rosie Lee, MacBeth, small bottle of Powder Room polish remover, Bluey, Tart with a Heart, Holiday Handbag cuticle oil, Yummy Mummy, Snog, Melt Away cuticle stuff and Horse Power strengthening base coat. My bank account hated me, however these have all lasted me! The only thing I have finished up so far was the Horse Power and that is because I used it EVERY TIME I did my nails because it made them grow so fast. I love that the Stiletto Stick has lasted, smells wonderfully, works great, and is so easy to apply.
Bluey- a metallic/shimmery peacock blue-green. This color is gorgeous by itself but it is also awesome as an accent color with Royal Navy (see picture below).

Royal Navy- this is a nautical navy blue and gorgeous by itself. Here I did a free-hand ombre with Bluey on the tips for a subtle accent.

Fash Pack- I wasn't sure about this one but I bought it any way. It's described as a putty/mushroom color. Its like a dark grey brown but it has a little shimmer to it so it is not flat. not a bad color to pair with black tips for an updated french manicure. (see this in matte below)

I think I love Fash Pack in matte even more than with a glossy top coat. Its such a nice neutral color. The butter matte finish top coat is wonderful. It goes on evenly and dries in a snap. I like to get a few days wear out of a polish and then put this on top to get another day or 2 out of it.
Gobsmacked- yes, just, yes. This makes me think of Tabitha's Salon Takeover every time I wear it! Its not quite black, its a charcoal grey and has fine silver glitter in it. It has rough finish to it which is kind of neat. In this picture I put a top coat over it.

Blowing Raspberries- its not quite red, not quite pink, but all together gorgeous. This is such a great color and is a creme polish with no frills so the color speaks for itself. Love this color year round. I love how butter creme colors are rich and opaque. With 2 coats you can't see through to the nail and I love that.

I like Blowing Raspberries with the matte top coat over it as well. It just makes it a little more interesting after you have worn it for a couple of days.
La Moss- I threw this one on in a hurry and made a mess, sorry! I broke this one out right when Fall arrived and right before Halloween and it was perfect. Its a vampy, ox-blood red that is rich and decadent. Wonderful compliment to your Fall/Winter wardrobe.

MacBeth- this was one of the first colors I bought and it was during the Summer. It as a nice coral color with a hint of orange...but like a peachy orange. Goes with everything and is bright with out being neon.
Queen Vic- I fell in love with this color the first time I used it. I am not normally into the purple colors, but this eggplant/wine/cranberry color is amazing. Its a creme polish but in different lights it looks different shades of not-quite-purple. Its more on the red side than the purple side, if that makes any sense.
Rosie Lee- again, this is one of the first polishes I bought and contributed to why I love this brand so much. This amazing cocktail of pale glitter is gorgeous. The consistency of the glitter polishes is perfect for playing with! (see picture below)
These glitters are so easy to do free-hand ombre styles with that I just do them all the time! This is Rosie Lee over OPI's Don't Touch My Tutu. Many compliments were given to me while I had this polish job.
Slapper- oh how I love a good teal polish :) This creme color is bright and fun and rich.  Another creme polish with a great opacity.

Snog- again one of my first purchased bottle and I love this hot pink so much that I bought another bottle of it...and I haven't even finished the first one! It is bright, its pink, its amazing! This is another color that I would wear year round.
Tart with a Heart- this was the VERY FIRST butter polish I ever used and it was amazing. Its very light gold with a twist of pink and a dash of silver/grey. It has several sizes of glitter and in the sun it dazzles.
By itself, Tart with a Heart is amazing, but layered over pale colors and it really stands out. This will be another bottle that I will buy several of.
West End Wonderland- its goooold! This is just pure gold glitter in a clear base and it is highly pigmented. You don't need 100 coats to get it packed on there, maybe 3 max and you are set. I like to use this for accents- here I have it over Essie's Carry On.

Yummy Mummy- this is the brand's neutral. Its a medium beige and they say it goes with every skin color. I did not love it at first, but then when I threw the matte top coat on I was a goner. Its amazing and has some very fine shimmer in it so it is not a flat color. I want to do this with a french tip in their black, called Union Jack.  Still waiting to add that one to the collection!
I just got one of the Holiday 2012 polishes, Jack the Lad, in the mail! The rest of the collection is on back order and will be shipped in another week or so. When I get them in, I will post the swatches here so keep checking back!
