At first I had mixed feelings. I guess I did not notice that the code sticker said that the minimum order must be $25, so as I waited and waited for my order it did not come. I got an email later from the owner, who had been on her honeymoon, saying that she was sorry she was so late getting back to me. Ok, I can understand that. Then she said to ship my order it had to be a minimum of $25 before the coupon and that it said that on the paper. Whoops! I am only human. So in her email she says "Do you want me to just tack on the $5 to the order so that I can send it?".........um, hold the heck on. The lip scrub kit is $20, my coupon is for 50%, so if you just "tack on" $5, it really makes my coupon only 25%. So no, I don't want you to just take 5 more dollars of my money. I am a freaking college student and I am budgeting like a champ. A little pissed, I emailed her back and asked her if she would just give me a second kit and include the coupon....thankfully, she obliged.
Not the best experience I have had with an owner of a shop, so I was just praying to the lip-balm gods that it was worth the headache. I came home from a long weekend to find my package finally made it. Here are my 2 little kits:
My dog must have smelled it through the box because he was all over these while I was unpacking them. He wouldn't even leave them alone while I was trying to photograph them LOL. You can see his nose in both of these pictures :)
The cocoa peppermint lip balm, like the one I got in my Eco Emi box, has a rough texture but it is not as rough as the "Smile" balm. In this case I feel like it works in conjunction with the lip scrub though, like a finishing exfoliant. The peppermint is soothing and there is just a hint of cocoa which is lovely. It leaves your lips hydrated and smooth.
After my first lip treatment. Puffy, pink, soft, and hydrated lips ready for some smooching! Or in my case, shoving Bentley's face out of my face because he is trying to lick the balm off :)
