February's Petit Amuse finally made it! It was so nice of the founder, Ben Appenzeller, to keep subscribers updated with emails on why the boxes were delayed (due to the weather on the east coast).
There were only 2 brands this month, but they jam packed a lot of food in that little brown box!
Grab 'Em Snacks Ragin' Cajun Gourmet Plantain Chips- Well talk about a different texture. The spicy Cajun on top was good, but the texture of the plantain threw me off. It is not exactly crunchy but its not soggy either. Its almost like Styrofoam. I am going to try them again with soup or something and see if that helps.
Grab 'Em Snacks Sea Salt Goodness Gourmet Plantain Chips
Willamette Valley Confectionery Oregon Hazelnut Bark- This was the first thing I dug into because, well, I am a woman and I love chocolate. It was delicious! The chocolate was smooth and rich and the nuts were perfect. I love how this was made from ingredients that I could pronounce!
There was also a Marionberry Sweetheart (left) and Strawberry-Rhubarb Sweetheart (right) that look like jelly candies.
I appreciate the contact Petit Amuse had keeping us informed on the box's status and the fact that they crammed so much product in to the box. Looking forward to March's box!!
